Saturday marks the start of 8 weeks Tues/Sat fixtures
at 12:07 21 Jan 2021

16 matches in 8 weeks. I'm not sure we'll ever see our beloved team more in such a short space of time. Let's hope it's not wholly depressing and we hit an 8 week purple patch.

The reality is the whole squad will be out injured by week 3.

So who do we expect to be fit again for Saturday?
at 18:08 7 Jan 2021

Our prayers were answered by receiving a lengthy rest break to aid recovery - so how many/who do we expect Taylor to reveal to be back in the squad for Saturday?

Sarcastic answers about our physio/sport science team welcomed.

Funded by the PFA.

Good stuff - although will probably mean more postponements.

Contradictory Lambert
at 11:56 2 Dec 2020

Whilst he is probably contradictory as a norm, this stood out to me after the last two interviews....

After Saturday he said:

“You have to take responsibility. If you're in a man’s world and you're playing professional football, you can’t be young. Young now is maybe 16 or 17, but when you hit your 18, 19 or 20s you start to become a little bit different, or you should be looked upon a little bit different."

Last night he said:

"Half the team is kids, we’ve got nine injuries. There are a lot of young kids there and if they don’t handle that, the club’s going to lose good players.”

and...

"Dozzell's a kid, Dobra's a kid, Lankester's a kid, even Bennetts is a kid".

I'm not really sure what he's saying about them - are they young and need protecting or should they be treated as senior players?

Just seen Felixstowe & Walton are away in the FA Trophy at Leatherhead next

...in absence of a Town game we should get some London/Surrey-based Ipswich fans down there as I can't imagine they'll have many travelling fans.

If I was ME and heard PL saying ‘we need a wee bit of help in January’
at 18:05 28 Nov 2020

...then that would be all I needed to hear. A new boss would want to bring new players in anyway so the benefit of keeping Lambert and him having ‘his squad’ isn’t there as he still wants to bring in more.

As ridiculous as the injury situation is, we weren’t much better without them injured
