Bizarre Decisions Last Night 11:23 - Feb 10 with 634 viewsusm

Why rest Chambers for just one game?
Why drop Kenlock?
Why no wide players?
Why go 442 all of a sudden?
Why change a winning team?
Why risk Norwood on that pitch?
Why go for a diamond?

Hes lost it is the only answer. A desperate man making desperate decisions.

Given that kick and punt approach seemed to have some modicum of success, he then abandoned it at half time

It wouldn't surprise me if he figured the pitch was going to make it a physical game and loaded the team up, although with that being the case, it probably wasn't a game for Dozzell?

Either way, it was a sad predictable performance in the end

Alcohol is the answer but I can't remember the question!

He expected Posh to go the same way and go big and Physical. They didn’t and instead realised our slow and ponderous midfield and back line couldn’t cope with any pace or movement. Dropping 2 mobile full backs and then playing a formation that requires mobile full backs was simply bizarre.

...can be justified.

Sort of.

You can see why he thought that Chambers and Ward would be more suited if the game degenerated into a physical battle.

You can see why he thought the players would struggle to play with any width on the pitch.

But, and this is a massive but, the game wasn't overly physical, at least not from Posh's perspective. (IMO we are turning into a team that is getting too physical, to the point of being dirty)

And, the pitch wasn't actually that bad. It looked terrible, but it was flat and firm. They were playing on it fine and exploiting our lack of width after about 10 minutes.

Last night showed a total lack of preparation on our part and a total lack of ability to see the bleedin obvious and do anything about it.

Lambert out.
