Covid deaths 13:07 - Feb 16 with 2264 viewsfactual_blue

Interesting snippet from a friend of ours.

Sadly her elderly (92) aunt died recently. As our friend expected, the cause of death given by the doctor was dementia and cancer.

When she went in person to the Registrar she was quizzed quite closely about whether Covid was also a cause. She, as I would have done, stuck with the point that the doctor has given the causes of death, and it's not for an untrained relative to second guess a medical professional.

So, is this common practice, or just an over-zealous council official? If so, a lot of people will undoubtedly let Covid be added to the causes of death.

Covid deaths on 14:52 - Feb 16 by jaykay

just a honest question, no conspiracy theories from me, but if someone was on record suffering from covid , with mild symptoms and were killed in say a car crash. would covid be recorded on their death certificate

....28 days yes.

Also the attending doctor could note symptoms on the cert.

It's a very debatable subject, which often causes "raised" emotions!
