It's a good plan for them - especially given their location. No point in Brentford trying to compete with London clubs - and ny decent schoolkids would be taken away anyway.

However the key to their success is good signings per say - not necessarily academy rejects from up the road.

However, it's not a plan that everyone can do for obvious reasons. Town are quite close to London and could benefit from adopting the same strategy - which might be closer than you think with the club now owned by property developers
