Agreed on both counts. Ashton has a big job ahead of him now he is in the door.
Whilst I am absolutely sure he will have had some involvement in dealings already, I'd expect a short delay in terms of anything being announced otherwise it shows a bit of a lack of class that MA was dealing with Ipswich matters whilst still under contract at BC.

Behind the scenes I think it is, though one would hope conversations have been had long before now. But I do think today is a bit of a line in the sand in that the old season finally over thank goodness, Ashton starts, other staff are already here/arriving.
I would love to see a signing this week, just to see the type and level of player the club is looking at. Realistically, like you I really hope we see a couple in by the end of next week. |  | | |
