It's a nice looking bird mate.

From a distance it could be a female oriole to the untrained eye.

I like the red cardinals we get here. Magnificent colouring. Also like blue jays. Although their population is minus 1 after one flew into our window frame last winter, got lodged in there and froze to death.

And on that note, how come you generally don’t see many dead birds? Where do they go to die?
