43 of them apparently. This is bizarre.

Yet this from Dezeen which is an architecture magazine of all things.

They are familiar with the location and the work that is displayed there regularly.

It fits other reports on the supposed tenuous ER angle:

https://www.dezeen.com/2021/06/26/antepavilion-police-raid-staff-arrested-london

Hoxton Docks, an events venue:

https://www.canvas-events.co.uk/venues/578/hoxton-docks

There we go, a pre-emptive strike by the Met based on an assumption that the installation was going to be used as part of a protest coming up:

"Extinction Rebellion has previously used bamboo tensegrity structures during protests to block access to national newspaper printing presses. However, Extinction Rebellion, the Antepavilion team and the design team behind All Along the Watchtower insisted the rooftop installation was separate from Extinction Rebellion activities."

Lot's of reports on this and quotes from chief officers knocking about too.

So we know it was nothing to do with terrorism nor squats, nor anything like it.

It is a famous art centre and the only arguments that seem to be available is that the police believe a semi-permanent structure on a roof which has taken weeks to construct was about to be dismantled and restructured elsewhere as part of a campaign and whether their approach was acceptable or not.

If you get raped in the UK the chances of your assailant being convicted is minuscule.

Yesterday a Met police officer, with a history of uninvestigated reported sexual offence allegations against him pleaded guilty to murder of a lone woman abducted from the streets of London.

His reaction to a raid by 40-off police on an art installation is "meh". Conveniently ignoring that those arrested were released after a night in the cells, with no charges.

"The Party of law and order" brings you SS/GB.

You can see one officer hand gesture to turn off the engine.. just because it’s his building, doesn’t mean he can build that monstrosity on the roof, and if it blew off in the wind and impaled
Some poor fecker below, it would be a different story, .. but it’s clearly done it’s job. In wasting police time, and trying to make them look bad, while already trying to do an almost impossible job these days. Oh to be an officer of the law.

Ouch.

Sorry.

I'm lazy and don't want to have to goggle everything. It would be nice if the OP had goggled an honest precis with background and context.

However, from the follow up posts, allied to the videos, it does seem that PC's Plod, Dangerous and their seniors appear to have covered themselves in the brown, sticky stuff again.

You know, I reallly , really hate this. All I want is for our police force and cps to do an honest and competent job. On behalf of every citizen.

Is this too much to ask, or has the moral corruption and lack of some sort of decent virtue of the leadership that should come from the top of this organisation especially, infected our police service through every level, beyond repair?

Cressida Dick (as was) should never have even been considered for the top job because of Stockwell.

There's many many reasons why she should have been sacked (she'll never resign) after getting the top job.

In July 2019 she announced an urgent enquiry into the Darroch leaks of UK diplomatic cables because of apparent serious crimes. Nothing has happened since on that. The beneficiary of those leaks was Boris Johnson.

Boris Johnson turned Cressida Dick into Dame Cressida Dick.

The Indpendent report into the Daniel Morgan assassination found the Met was (currently and historically) institutionally corrupt. No-one was sacked; no-one resigned. Dame Cressida Dick shrugged it off.

Boris Johnson is putting a Bill through Parliament that can jail you for 10 years for annoying someone.

40 Met police raid an art installation that annoys Priti Patel and Boris Johnson.

The world looks on, with much dismay and sadness, and shakes its head - read some foreign press - US, Australian, New Zealand, European ...

The UK economy goes to pot.

For what?
