Watched Benjamin Blooms excellent review of the Championship grounds…. (Spoiler alert) agree that the likes of Hull should be lowest, a soul less atmosphere-less place, with a gap to the pitch
Good Brammal Lane was top, and Fulham high.. love going to Fulham… just the location and area, and obviously massive Blue Army turn out (expect the same at Charlton this year). Made me think how was the new stand progressing, update vid below (an infinity pool in a stadium, who’d have thunk it!!!!)
Interesting reading QPR comments on Dozzell, pleased with how he played against Man U, ‘showing lots of promise’ seems to be a key comment. Will be very interestingly to see if he does step up. 50/50 for me. It was odd watching celebrate a wunder strike from his colleague in the hooped shirt - will always see him as a blue.
Noticed a derogatory forum post about our kit man doing the post match after Palace game. He was a kit man at Wigan, but now is a coach. Jeffers and Robert’s are titled first team coaches. It’s interesting to see our coaching staff on the club web site:
It’s a big team. But the Assistant Manager berth remains empty. In Cook and Ashton we trust…. But just imagine a John McGreal in that role?? Or someone steeped in technical/tactical elements of the game to support Cook?
The derogatory comments are rather underselling what a kit-man's job involves. Far more than simply washing socks, they are a key element in the pastoral care of players, many of whom are young men in their teens and early twenties, some having just left home for the first time. You only have to listen to players talking with affection of their old kit men to realise the important bonds that develop and the support that provides.
You can see how that would transfer into a coaching role - on the psychological rather than the technical side - and how important getting a good, healthy atmosphere and attitude is to success on the pitch.

Agree
Also he’s done coaching badges and an ex player.
James Pullen is now kit man.
Sill think an experienced and cerebral assistant manager would help the cause.

Absolutely this, most of us have no idea what the role now involves, you could say more important than the coaching staff, they will deal with many different aspects of a players life in general...
