I agree that Burgess looks like a proper old school defender. Hopefully fans will see the merits of such a player. Because they didn't when describing Wilson as limited, and not good enough for a promotion side, after having consistently rated him out of 10 well above all of his team mates last year. We had a capable and solid defence last year, even under Cook's massive decline once Lambert was disposed of. This season - I'm not sure I can describe the defence in those terms.
