Bailey looks good, needs time, a bit raw, but he's certainly got the chance. Edmundson is a potential star. Stuck in the corner, nowhere to go, he draws the Sunderland lad in and megs him. Brilliant.
Harsh pen on Toto but it falls into the "seen them given" category. The geezer behind me was just ripping into him every time he did anything. Honestly, Toto could've scored and still been slated. Some of our fans need to give their heads a wobble.
Morsy was everywhere, but it was always sideways, never any real forward motion.
Aluko saw a lot of the ball, but slowed everything down, I felt. This does seem to be a minority view, however, but I'd have brought him off after 45.
Thibk Edwards was victim of an attempted murder in the middle of the park. Nailed on red that the ref bottled because it was early in the game, I reckon. Other than that, he saw lots of ball with no end product.
Bonne was starved out of the game. Straight swap for Piggot was pointless.
Sunderland were there for a battering yesterday and one goal would've seen us get several. 3 points not so much dropped as gift wrapped and thrown away.
Hopefully get a reaction on Tuesday, and give them a mailing when they arrive at PR next month.
Finally, it was the first defeat my lad has seen for us. He was in floods of tears. He decided he still wanted to see the players afterwards and get autographs. Still sobbing, we arrived at the team bus. First out was Santi, my lads hero. He comes over, spots he was crying and really chatted to my boy, trying to cheer him up. I've said a lot about Celina, and I've not been his #1 fan, to be honest, but after yesterday and his making the effort with my lad, he seems a genuinely top bloke.
