As we’re all talking about Cook 15:31 - Jan 5 with 4354 viewsIllinoisblue

What are your most depressing memories from his time in charge. Lots to choose from, obviously, but I’d go for:

Ipswich 2 Bolton 5 for sheer mind-numbing collective incompetence

Cambridge 2 Ipswich 2 for what seemed at the time to be the 37th time under Cook we were unable to hold on to a lead.

Rochdale 0 Ipswich 0. Watched this on IFollow and question my existence every five minutes. Don’t think we had a shot on goal against a team destined for L2

Maybe not the most depressing moments but the shots from that first training video of Kenlock walking away with a 'You're not the boss of me' look on his face and Cook trotting after him but being careful not spill his Costa. Perhaps he never lost the dressing room because he felt he could never win it in the first place and had to buy loyalty with the big clear out and a new squad?

You're reading rather a lot into the look on someone's face there!

Especially Kenny's because he looks vacant at the best of times

Maybe, but I saw it as a 'what's wrong with this picture?' moment. Also, the sight of a new manager chasing after one of the players who is, in all honesty, not one of the stars of the squad or an unsung linchpin of the team so that he could get alongside was weird and didn't inspire confidence. Klopp, Pep, Jose and especially Sir Bobby or Cloughie would have let someone like Kenlock know that they had to pay attention to the boss or they were out on their ear. Yet Kenlock is still here and could even be on his way back from the bomb squad...

You're talking a load of nonsense, frankly. It was just two men jogging along near each other. The rest you've invented in your own head.

Trust the process. Trust Phil.
