Is there an updated version of:

THE MEN WHO MADE THE TOWN: THE OFFICIAL HISTORY OF IPSWICH TOWN F C SINCE 1878?

It is a great book for detail and stats, invaluable for me to recover info I had long forgot about for the above thread but was published in 1986.

Has there been something published since?

which covers 1936-96

Sure there was one (possibly two) supplements in the following year(s). I presume the plan was to do one after each subsequent season but they didn't happen.

What info are you after?

Incidentally, I lost my copy of TMWMTT. I bought a copy to replace it after telling Phil. He bought me a copy as a present, and then I found my original copy so now I have 3. Don't tell Phil, I never told him.

I agree. It’s a great source. I looked at it for the first time in years thanks to this thread.

As a format, I really liked the late Ken Rice’s 1973 book Ipswich an Illustrated History. You got more of a sense of the story with it. I still have my copy somewhere and I’d love to see another version covering the subsequent decades in that style.

Any update should just have for the years 2015 to date the words "you don't want to know".

You don't need to worry. I don't think Phil reads this site.

Nothing in particular.

The other thread got my copy off the bookshelf for the first time in many years. I expect that because there is now such a wealth of info on the internet then perhaps no one has bothered to get book updated.

Another good one is 'Ipswich Town The Modern Era' by Rob Hadgraft which covers 1971/72 until 2000/01.
