I thought we got all (or the majority) of our oil from Saudi anyway. So really not sure why there's such a hike at the petrol stations , since there will have been ample stored supplies of oil. It smacks of profiteering on a grand scale , to me .

Norway, mostly. 25% from the USA, 8% from Russia. With relatively little coming from the Middle East.

Edit: Bearing in mind, of course, that the various sources produce different types/grades of oil. Not all oil is suitable for every application (i.e. it may not contain the fractions you want, or have undesireable impurities).
