Burns - perfect example of how coaching works 11:29 - Mar 20 with 1086 views | FrimleyBlue | Burns has shown all season he has pace, he has desire and he loves to get the ball across the box. What he failed to earlier in the season tho, was look up. It still worked however with Bonne being in the right place, but many times Burns attempts hit the first man or just fizzled out into an easy intercept by the keeper. However over recent games. You may have noticed his new found ability of looking up and trying to place his passes. Our goal yesturday was a perfect example. Bonne was actually in that usual far post position and I'd say that phase of play earlier in season would have resulted in burns head down and either drilling it across or shooting. However this time there's that look up, a placement of the ball to the free Celina. For me that was the best example yet of how our new management team are actually coaching these players as individuals.

Burns - perfect example of how coaching works on 12:04 - Mar 20 with 1003 views | Swansea_Blue | That’s cheered me up. You think a guy who’s been playing senior professional football for 10 years has only recently learnt to look for his team mates thanks to McKenna & co.? You’re right in that he did so nicely yesterday and he probably sometimes didn’t before, but I expect he’s been aware for a while. I learnt when I was about 8.

Based on pre and post KM management team coming in. Yes it clearly something they've been working on with him. Based on your post, does coaching not exist once you've made a first team appearance? Is there nothing coaches can help you improve with? Surely if you're into football you'd be aware of everything within the game and therfore not require any form of coaching.

Burns - perfect example of how coaching works on 12:41 - Mar 20 with 941 views | ITFC_Esquire | I have to say I do agree with the OP. It’s not so much a case of the coaching team enlightening burns to looking for a team mate but more a case of working on it in training. They clearly have been working on those positions to try and optimise our productivity from it. I have 100% seen a difference in burns technique which is more measured, and it coincides with the new management team so it’s reasonable to assume that McKenna has had them working on it. Another factor in my opinion is I think we have more late runners into the box/someone offering a deeper cut back behind an onrushing striker who takes the defenders with him. Yesterday and also Morsy’s goal and the one we scored from him missing the target right to Jackson all examples of this just from the top of my head. Mick mills also mentioned that he felt the way they celebrated the Morsy goal was almost like it was something they had been working on in training, whatever that looks like! Just my opinion though.

Morsy literally said in an interview that they have been practicing cutting the ball back with midfield players there to score. Why they weren't doing this under Cook is beyond me.
