UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres really giving it some. 21:01 - Apr 4 with 632 viewsNthQldITFC

It feels to me like Covid and Ukraine came at a really bad time and took our thoughts away from the bigger issue when we needed to see it most clearly. Unless we don't want to see it, of course.

Climate change: IPCC scientists say it's 'now or never' to limit warming

First, the bad news - even if all the policies to cut carbon that governments had put in place by the end of 2020 were fully implemented, the world will still warm by 3.2C this century.

This finding has drawn the ire of the UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres.

"Some government and business leaders are saying one thing - but doing another. Simply put, they are lying. And the results will be catastrophic."

That sort of temperature rise would see our planet hit by "unprecedented heatwaves, terrifying storms, and widespread water shortages".

This makes me feel bad for having children and what they could/ should be facing in the future.

The amount of parents in the morning that I see who live 5/10 minutes away walking distance from
School who drive and who don’t work is astonishing. It’s laziness and habitual behaviour is going to be the Most challenging thing to change if some people will even change.

Scary times.
