What has an individuals arrangement of their tax affairs got to do with Brexit? Your post smacks of envy of wealth from indignant blue. Every one of ius, if we have any sense, arranges our affairs in accordance with the law so as to minimise our taxes. use of ISA’s,SIPPs, 5th April invest, ent decisions etc.. The problem is the ridiculous law that allows someone to be classed as non resident for up to 15 years of living in the UK. Simple solution is to change the law to say 5 years. This would cover most genuine short term postings to the Uk whilst making the option unavailable to long term residents. We need to correct the bad law, not crucify someone who has followed the rules and been open about being non dom. In case of doubt I say that as a remainer, who will never vote for this Conservative party. | |
