I presume it’s an American critic and yes, there are inaccuracies, not least the line ‘stand with the Indian Army’. It’s a peculiar line not because India didn’t fight the Axis but because Britain actually stood with all its Commonwealth/Empire and those that made it out of the occupied countries. Britain was actually never truly alone in the us and them way that was portrayed at the time.

I used it purely because out picks up on the main differences between the film and what actually happened in response to Ryorry seeing the film and wondering about the differences. My knowledge of the period is pretty good, but not of the detail of the political machinations that were key to the film.
