Bad pattern,immerging from our game 07:44 - Sep 26 with 659 viewsipswichone

There seems to be a bad pattern immerging from our last two games,as soon as we get near the 70 minute mark ,we crumble.is it lack of focus, or panic setting in,? either way,Kieron McKenna needs to sort this out, before this becomes a mindset, and we throw away are impressive start to the season

We aren't going to beat all the top teams. You dont get things all your own way against the teams at the top.

It makes life easier if you beat them yes.

However if we continue beating the teams below the top 6, then top 2 will be achieved.

This mindset thing is nonsense.

Whatever the reason for our failure to beat the better teams in the division, you have to analyse our form on its merits. It's a very rosy mindset to look at our form and let the overriding conclusion be that we beat everyone outside the top six. It's equally true to say that we've not beaten anyone in the top 8, and most of the teams we've beaten are in the bottom 7.

We've only beaten one team in the top half, and that's Shrewsbury. There's no need to panic, but equally we have to be honest with what we've achieved. As Bolton and Barnsley climbed the table, the points against those two look like better form than it did, but equally, the majority of teams we've beaten do not look too clever. We've only beaten two teams who themselves have won more than 2 league games each.

Sure, if we beat everyone outside the top six home and away then that's great, and we go up, but personally I don't see that our form currently justifies the view that we're going to go to Pride Park or London Road and get a result.

To put it another way, this is our fourth season in league one, and in both of our first two seasons we had more points at this stage. Those foundations crumbled, and they were built on beating the lesser teams.

It’s also fair to say we’ve only lost to one team in the top half, eight, six.

We’ve not exactly been taken to the cleaners by anyone either. Yes, I have a concern that we don’t have anyone to score the tap ins and scruffy goals when we are dominating so giving teams a way back in, but the season really starts now and we will see. Maybe they’ll find somebody in Jan, Marcus Stewart style.

Disappointed in the last two games, result wise, but not downhearted. We are in with a real shout.
