Thatcher would disown the current Tory party 22:32 - Oct 2 with 1746 views | XYZ | She'd dismiss them as a bunch of economically illiterate idiots. They simply don't make any sense to anyone with a functioning brain. Liz Truss, who was at the heart of a cabinet that oversaw the biggest corrupt raid on Britain's public purse (PPE VIP scandal; Bounce Back loan scandal; Track and Trace scandal) that they were "all about" "value for money" in public spending - whilst refusing to reaffirm Suank's promises from a few months ago. Apparently that was a different government. Anyone like to defend these crooks? Let's crawl back to the EU and beg forgiveness. Dump the £ - the rest of the world already has - join the € to protect the 99%.

Thatcher would disown the current Tory party on 16:16 - Oct 3 by HARRY10 | 'Consult' as the same way Sooty consults with Harry Corbett. She was little more than an ill informed bigot all too willing to do the dirty work for those 'behind the scenes', as with Johnson and now Truss. I think it was Heseltine who commented on how she would turn up at cabinet meetings full of ideas, which she was then unable to enlarge upon. Bribing thick voters by selling off 'the family silver' has left a shameful record. Norway used the oil to create a sovereign wealth fund. used it to improve their infrastructure and develop long term planning Under Thatcher the sale of utilities allowed them to pass out of our control, something with oil and energy we are suffering with. Much the railways. Those three are pretty much owned by foreign state owned companies, to which the UK pays hefty subsidies I expect you will be telling us next what wonders Evans did for our club. |
If you really think that she was ill-informed then you obviously were not there in the eighties. Johnson was only ever ill informed because he was lazy in office and because he filled his cabinet with sycophants. Truss appears to be cut from the same material. Thatcher made it her business to be well informed and to listen to differing opinions.
