Half time bust up - Blue Action 08:23 - Oct 22 with 11079 viewsMillsTash

So what happened at half time in Lower North S6? Lots of security and police getting involved with a couple of lads escorted down to the concourse with some heated exchange. Looked like it was about to kick off.

It was a tongue in cheek comment in response to him saying he would set himself on fire... jeez.

Sorry, wasn't that clear as you seemed a tad emotional

I saw bald lad to, giving it big to the steward, but as soon as the old bill came he hid up. In the second half he started on a girl for clapping when mcgoldrick came on. Seems a total bellend who only picks on women

It was my daughter and I who he started having a go at for us applauding McGoldrick on. He then started arguing with other fans around us. It seemed that he, as did a few others in section 6, were wound up by the overstewarding and were really getting Annoyed at everything.
To be fair to him he did apologise to both of us at the end of the match

It really is a strange situation……after said wild goal celebration these 4 people will normally moan about it amongst themselves….they do sometimes complain to a steward. And prefer not to hear swearing….and do sometimes complain to a Stewart.

They presumably were given the option to move to another part of the stadium last season, so a bit odd that they did not. We were sat bang in the middle of Blue Action last season. Fair play to them, but we thought it was just too boisterous for us at our age, and took up the club's option to move (to SBR Upper). There we can peacefully sleep and not be disturbed by goal celebrations.

That's appalling. To be honest, and this is nothing to do with Blue Action, but I see an awful lot of aggression from our fans, whether or not sat in section 6. In the olden days, the aggression was confined to the "hooligans" in the North Stand, but these days it appears to extend much further than that. I don't know if it's just because people are just more angry these days, or if drink plays a part, but it doesn't make the stewards job any easier.

I think it was miss placed aggression as he had, it seemed, been especially wound up by the removal of his mate(s) who from my close view had done nothing wrong and should not have been thrown out. His whole loss of cool with me was bizarre but the fact it scared my daughter is what annoyed me.
As I said he apologised at the end and that’s the end of it and won’t be complaining.
I don’t hold anyone responsible but him and think both section 6 and blue action makes for a great atmosphere at the ground and I can’t wait for the next game

The youngest of the 4 is probably 80. They celebrate a goal by a slow hand clap….guess.
As the upper rows pile forward on goal celebration. They are in section 6 row F maybe seat 160-170 to be precise.
An accident waiting to happen.

I chat to the old ladies sometimes when we’re putting our banner up - they tell me they like the banner being there as it keeps their legs warm in the winter!

It is a curious situation though and I was surprised to see them renew there again this season. I understand folk not wanting to leave a seat they’ve sat in for years, but I always think they’d surely be happier in a quieter part of the ground (and with a much better view).

I’m in section 4 in the north and there’s an old lady there, well into her 70s I reckon, who’s on the other side of the aisle from where I am, who joins in boisterously with all the songs she knows, the swearier the better it seems. It’s hilarious
