For some reason (probably my scatty brain) I’ve recently decided I want to get a deeper knowledge on the history of countries in SE Asia, particularly the political discourse and darker events of the last century.
Any good docs/podcasts people recommend? Books also welcome, alas I get through them at a much slower rate.
I have spent many happy times exploring and working in SE Asia. An excellent and fascinating read is The Golden Chersonese by Isabella Lucy Bird. She was a brave Victorian adventurer and travelled throughout the region. Available on Amazon.
