The definition of a "goalscoring opportunity" somewhat changes when the keeper is not in the goal. For example, a covering defender is enough to prevent the scenario being a goalscoring opportunity, but that's with a keeper still to beat. If the keeper is not there, then a covering defender is not enough to prevent the scenario being a goalscoring opportunity, as the striker has an open goal. So i'd say if the keeper handles deliberately, and the ball would otherwise been in the possession of the attacker, its a red card. [Post edited 21 Feb 2023 18:13]
