I was a bit worried on a couple of occasions last night, and credit to Cameron Burgess for having a word in his ear when he looked like he might talk his way into the book. I wonder how much of a role Old Yellow Shoes has had in managing his mindset of late. [Post edited 8 Mar 2023 16:28]

Yes, was a bit worried he was going to pick one up after a while when he looked like he was going to start 'having a word' with some of Accrington's players but in fairness to the ref he was quite good at diffusing those situations. One of the more arrogant officials we've had this season might have booked him.

A lot of his yellows are pretty needless, they're the ones he needs to cut out. The issue with walking the tightrope he is now is it doesn't allow him to take a good yellow, and there's a time when he'll need to. Humphreys took one for the team at MK Dons for example to stop a potentially dangerous attack. Hopefully he gets through these next 2 games and it doesn't need to be a consideration anymore.
