A yellow away from a ban.

Just that bit more measured and sensible.

Ade Akinbiyi couldn't hit a cows arse with a banjo...

Especially as Accrington were doing their best to get him booked last night, tackle right through him in first couple of minutes then a concerted effort near the end.

As I said on another thread, hopefully he will learn from this situation that not jumping in like a headless chicken giving away stupid free kicks and collecting loads of yellow cards does actually make him a better player.

He deserves a huge amount of credit for not only reigning it in to get us through our injury crisis, but also for the way he has responded to the incident at Bristol Rovers after the match.

I was a bit worried on a couple of occasions last night, and credit to Cameron Burgess for having a word in his ear when he looked like he might talk his way into the book.

I wonder how much of a role Old Yellow Shoes has had in managing his mindset of late.

Yes, was a bit worried he was going to pick one up after a while when he looked like he was going to start 'having a word' with some of Accrington's players but in fairness to the ref he was quite good at diffusing those situations. One of the more arrogant officials we've had this season might have booked him.

Just because I don't care doesn't mean I don't understand.

A lot of his yellows are pretty needless, they're the ones he needs to cut out. The issue with walking the tightrope he is now is it doesn't allow him to take a good yellow, and there's a time when he'll need to. Humphreys took one for the team at MK Dons for example to stop a potentially dangerous attack. Hopefully he gets through these next 2 games and it doesn't need to be a consideration anymore.
