So next season, do we replace McKenna if we're not top 6 by October? 11:35 - Apr 30 with 744 viewsNeedhamChris

Only teasing, but it's as ridiculous a view as the one I took earlier in the season so just reflecting on a year where I've learnt a lot this year about patience and looking for instant gratification.

I've never booed the team at the ground and always supported - have just taken frustrations out on here but clearly with a pretty stupid take in mid season. Our son arrived late March - and I'm so excited about the future he has supporting the Town (hopefully!). I'm in my mid-thirties and that 2015 season aside, there's been absolutely nothing to get excited about - with the club falling deeper and deeper into a slumber. But we're waking up - the atmosphere yesterday was like nothing else and the knock on impact of this can't be underestimated. Kids will be being engaged, the new future of fans locked in, we've got a lot to look forward to.

This year I crossed into the Watford/Leeds mentality that I used to hate, and just change it when the results aren't coming. Mostly desperation just to get out of this god awful league - but I'm glad that those with the powers that be weren't as shortsighted and stuck with the process. I couldn't be more excited to be wrong - and yesterday was the best day I've had as a Town fan by a long shot and for the first time in a long time it does feel like we're only going one way.

I'm optimistic that the championship is not the league it was, and with our backing, style and playing squad we will be able to challenge that top-6. We've got a lot going for us - bit like our neighbours had under Lambert + the excellent owners - so we're going places.

So like all of us - will enjoy this feeling for a long time and hope we top it off next week with 100 points. However, whatever happens McKenna has earned patience next season and I for one will be behind him regardless of how things start - it's onwards and upwards from here..

Fair play for being able to laugh at yourself after the event, thankfully we've got the outcome we all wanted.

Congratulations on the birth of your son!

Thanks, appreciated!

You have to laugh at yourself really. I was a little unlucky - how many fans have called for their manager to go and then from that exact game see 13 wins and a draw from 14 games 😂 If we'd just started that run a week or two earlier my stupidity could have gone under the radar.
