Fantastic from a defensive point of view with numerous interceptions, tackles and (despite his stature) headers. And the one player today who showed composure, and invention, on the ball when going forward.

By comparison, Ball was rather disappointing. He is clearly fitter than he was earlier in the season, but seems a more limited player than both Morsy and Luongo. Having said that, he clearly isn't totally match fit, and his physicality may well be needed in the much tougher Championship next season, especially in the latter stages of games.

We really missed Morsy today.

I think we need another CM of the quality of Morsy/Luongo and shift at least one of Ball, Evans, Camara.

Ball in my opinion has yet to convince me he can make an impact here, other than making up the numbers. That said he’s been out injured a fair bit.

Personally, I think we will look for more quality in the summer and his opportunities will be very limited.

Agree with all the above. Think Ball is a purely defensive sitting midfielder who offers little else. Which is fine, and his Championship experience will be useful, but today we needed to replace Morsy with someone who offers more going forward. And Ball wasn't great today anyway, very sloppy at times (admittedly he's going to be a bit rusty).

Think we'll definitely look to strengthen central midfield in the summer. Can see at least one new signing coming in, possibly two.
