Is he fit now? He's not gone on Arsenal's pre-season tour or been in the squad for any of their friendlies to date.

Wonder if he's someone we could pick up for next to nothing with a lot of potential upside and not much downside.

The cluub is best placed to know how much of a wildcard. I like him as a player.

We do already have wildcards,

Injury record
Edmundson
Evo

Delivery record
Jackson
Edwards

That's a little bit harsh on Kayden Jackson who, we all know, isn't a focal point striker, but has become a key part of KMcK's plans as a tactical sub who will go on and do exactly what is asked of him to execute a game plan.

McKenna has massively improved his output, albeit not as a goalscorer.

I will be surprised if he leaves, although many others think it likely, purely because he appears to me to have absolutely won McKenna's trust.

What’s harsh?

I haven’t said Kayden J should be compared as a striker, only he is a wildcard for a championship season having not set the world alight in L1. He certainly was relied upon, time will tell if now the circumstances have changed whether KJ will step up and be important in the Championship. I would also be surprised if he left this window but hope we have better selection options by the time the window closes!

I think I said "little bit harsh". I said it because you said he was a wildcard on "Delivery". I took that to mean that you think he hasn't delivered what was expected of him.

If that is the correct reading of what you are saying, I am saying he hasn't delivered what we expected when he signed (goals as a central striker) but this season has delivered, according to a plan, what was asked of him, mainly as a tactical sub, and that I believe KMcK trusts him to deliver that ongoing.

So I don't think he is on the "probably leaving" list right now.
