Season preview 17:33 - Jul 26 with 631 viewstractordownsouth

I've written a lengthy season preview over on my substack, split into two parts. I've tried not to go overboard on our chances but it's very open this year. I think there's a big gap between the top three and the bottom six but in between that we might see a lot of variation. Wouldn't surprise me if there's a very low points total needed to get into the playoffs this year.

Bump.

Bold on Sunderland and Hull imo. You seem a lot more pessimistic than many writers on our chances as well. I’m finding it really hard to predict how we’ll do though. On our day we can match anyone in this league (as Burnley last year showed, plus positive performances against Luton and RB Leipzig in pre-season). But do we have the depth to sustain it when the fixtures come thick and fast and injuries pile up? The hype may be a bit too much, but we’ll find out soon enough.

As an aside, I enjoy reading your substack. Phil could do a lot worse than give you a chance to write regularly for TWTD. It’s good stuff 👍

Poll: Do you think Pert is key to all of this?
