Goalkeeping kit 08:38 - Aug 3 with 582 viewsSharkey

Who was the last Town goalkeeper that wore the same colour shorts and socks as the rest of the team? Paul Cooper I guess? (Did the rules actually change, or was it a fashion thing?)

And was Cooper also the first Town goalkeeper to have the club badge on his jersey?

Craig Forrest was still wearing the team shorts and socks in the early 90s, as seen in the below article.

Edit: Also from that article, it looks like the switch to a complete goalkeeping kit happened in 94-95.

In the 18th part of our regular series, The Ex-Files, Blair Ferguson caught up with giant Town and Canada goalkeeping legend Craig Forrest. 22

Thanks for that! He certainly saw some sartorial changes, from a relatively subdued start: http://www.sporting-heroes.net/football/ipswich-town-fc/craig-forrest-5712/leagu

(The article mentions Forrest doing an impression of Charlie Woods. What accent did he have? I can't remember ever hearing him interviewed.)
