I was having an interesting conversation with someone about play calling in American Football. There is a whole series of intricate pre-planned moves which the offence team has to learn and they can be switched between (and tweaked, to an extent) with a series of simple signals. I was having an interesting conversation with someone about play calling in American Football. There is a whole series of intricate pre-planned moves which the offence team has to learn and they can be switched between (and tweaked, to an extent) with a series of simple signals. That’s an interesting comparison regarding players knowing what to do. locally where I am the most successful high school programs are the ones that are aligned with the youth (American) football programs, meaning kids learn the play book from a very early age. |  |
