We’re still a work in progress, we’re doing very well but promotion would always be a big ask, even with our great start. Losing today isn’t the end of the world, and it may take us a few seasons to get back to the top flight, and there’s nothing wrong with that, just look who we’re competing with a compare the budgets, we’re having an amazing season and should we not be promoted it’s still been a success.

Mass should have started ahead of Taylor, and yeah maybe we should have gone with a different front line formation but our midfield was not its best today either. They did their research, played their game and took advantage of our often iffy backline. We need to address the backline in January if we’re serious about finishing in the top five because no side is going to survive making those kinds of mistakes all season without being routinely punished. I think it’s a bit like the Royle seasons where we were scoring for fun but we’d concede so many it cost us promotion. | | | |
