Sadly nowhere near good enough 17:03 - Jan 1 with 497 views | pointofblue | Would have been happy enough with a point before seeing the line ups, but with the majority of players back and Stoke down to ten? We need to capitalise if we’re look to continue the promotion push. Wish Stoke hadn’t had a guy sent off, to be honest. Four points from fifteen but, yes, we would have taken this position in August. Sadly nowhere near good enough on 17:07 - Jan 1 with 424 views | Herbivore | We were poor today, imo. Up until the sending off we got into good areas but lacked quality and composure. After the red we were just hopeless. Slow passing into the middle, not stretching the play, really poor quality deliveries into the box. We've had a tough period and some key players not fully fit or absent but we're going to need to be better if we're going to maintain a challenge for the autos. At least Saints also dropped points away at Championship fodder, but that creates frustration too as without the four points dropped over the last 4 days we'd be in a (even more) fantastic position. | |
