He gave them a free kick everytime they tripped over, and ignored multiple equivalent tackles on Town players. And actually gave a couple of free kicks against us when we were the ones who should have had it instead. How did the tackle against Morsy not get a free kick ? How did the linesman not see Hutch bundled over off the ball the ref was looking the wrong way?

To be fair to Martin he's probably out of a job if they don't go up and they played well but lost in the last minute so he's a bit emotional at that point. To suggest the ref was against them is laughable though.

Martin also saying the ref gave them nothing on 21:17 - Apr 1 by DanTheMan | Hahaha what game was he watching. The one that made me laugh was when Downes dragged Morsy down then literally held him down to stop him getting up whilst they were on the break. |
Downes was laughing his head off as he did it. It was a full attempt to hold him down for the count of 10, like a Saturday morning 1970s wrestling heel trying to bait the crowd. I think the battle Downes had with Sam, will have generated a lot of mutual respect, which won't hurt if we do try and sign Flynn.

In the earlier parts of the game that affected us more than Southampton but later in the game it was Southampton who copped it. [Post edited 2 Apr 2024 8:47]
