It was sunny and my mind went back to the Morsy curler at Forest Green and John-Jules taking the ball, turning, running through and scoring at Shrewsbury. Seems an age ago, but it was the beginning of this amazing run.
I think comparing us at the end Of Lamberts reign to here is more apt. We’ve come a bloody long way since then.
Been a great last 2 years and possibly beyond that to the takeover, that first summer felt like the club was at least trying for the first time in a long time. I know the 1st 4 months of that season were pretty iffy. When McKenna came in and I saw his style of play I remember saying to my mates in Oxfordshire at a Christening we’ve got a manager at last.
Whether the next few years are as good who knows but this is a chance for us to further rebuild the club.
