Incorrect and as I said all along, it was plain common sense it was an agent move. KM to Brighton was a non-sensical sideways step no matter what some delirious folk think about Brighton. KM to Chelsea was a non-starter and he’s not an upgrade on Potch (neither is Maresca). KM to Man Utd was also a non-starter because he’s not ready yet and although Ten Hag has had a poor trophy winning season, he’s not an upgrade in Ten Hag at this point in time.

All this points to agents leaking nonsense to drive up his contract offer and line their own pockets as I said from day one. No guess work, just common sense.

Brighton was no closer to happening than Chelsea or United were from all the discussion I had and I said as much all along. I posted an ITK from a Brighton mate which was ridiculed.

I don’t think anyone on this thread were part of the hysterical mass though.

Phil's words are fairly ominous and there's little doubt that he's more in the know than anyone else posing here. Also, I never said it was "idle speculation", but it is still speculation. I think Phil chose his words carefully but many posters here have interpreted it as a fait accompli.

a) that there's increasing likelihood that Brighton will sign McKenna
and
b) that Kieran has agreed a deal with Brighton
or
c) that Kieran is staying with Town

Just because "a" has been reported doesn't mean that "b" will follow. Do you think it does?
