Whilst I wouldn't support mandatory voting I do think people should be encouraged to vote. I think a no show highlights voter apathy, but a spoilt paper (if that is your wont) demonstrates voter anger, as some effort has been made to make a point. Better still of course is a mass mobilisation of people to vote this shambles out, whether that be a vote of conviction or a tactical vote to the most likely challengers in tory strongholds. I suppose it comes down to how much you want to rid the country of this scourge. |  |
