Well, he's not the most reliable witness of even his own life but equally, isn't this "police in airports who are armed because they are police in an airport" rather than a specific flying squad scrambled to intercept a bewildered ex comedy writer? |

Westlake (who is excellent on commentary I think) made a relevant point about this on Saturday, that when we concede the heads drop and there isn't really anyone (on the pitch) obviously pulling the lads together and giving them a pep talk / rollocking. There's lots of different leadership styles, though, and we don't know how the team best responds. One of the many things I trust KM in is leadership, and I'd hope he's good at seeing whom his trusted on-field generals are. But as an armchair know nothing, it would be nice to see O'Shea doing some hairdryer treatments |

There's nobody. Not in this division. He's immense |

While that was the worst reffing all season (I'm calling it now), please do watch the PL highlights from yesterday to 'appreciate' VAR. It is the worst thing about the modern game |

Am I wrong for thinking, the derby is much bigger for them nowadays than us? Fortunes change, but we've got way bigger ambitions than they do. I barely recall the games in 23/24 because of promotion - I honestly thought we lost both games until I looked it up. Of course, I will still enjoy beating them. But it's nowhere near as big a game to me as it used to be. |

Feeling honestly ambivalent about it. I think we've missed our targets and are being a bit desperate. If it doesn't happen, meh. If it does, meh. I hope there's other deals being progressed |

He does seem like an odd signing, probably the closest to a panic buy we've done. I do think we'd be in a better place had we kept faith in Muric (when he was back from injury). On Preston, I thought Small and Pol Valentin were very good. |

Yeah I think we've seen two of the stronger sides in the league in our first two matches. Birmingham did business early without having to worry about their L1 squad members being poached, and Saints as people say, have their strongest squad for the season as they will lose a few before the window closes. With that and the fact that we've got new signings which have yet to play / hardly played plus potentially other new, premium quality signings, I'm kind of mildly pleased with two draws. |

I've always thought he was better even than Delap playing off the shoulder of the last defender. I just wish we had someone who'd put the balls there to chase through |

Letting Murph go with a few hours left in the window. I know it was a dream for him, but it was basically a white flag waving off any ambition and to usher in the start of the very worst phase of the banter era. |
