Why is Brexit still happening?
at 11:08 13 Jul 2017

Almost everyone involved has said it will be a catastrophe, and the only person still thinking it's a good idea is failed politician radio host Nigel Farage. Even Boris and POB got the jobs they were perhaps angling for out of it so won't be pro anymore.

I just don't get it. Yes, there was an election with a result - but was that really done properly with an informed electorate?

I don't really give a toss if this is dismissed as snowflaking. It is obvious that Brexit will make this country significantly worse off, and for some reason we still have our foot on the gas despite being ten feet away from the cliff edge.

If there were true principles and strong leaders in our politics (whichever colour) nowadays, we would be having conversations about not respecting the will of the 52% right now.

Everyone in politics wants to pull the parachute. I'm sure of it.

Remember, they'll want to do a deal with us because they'll want... well, whatever it is we produce now. Jam?

I saw Frank yesterday, and heartily recommend it. Very British, very good film. Funny, whimsical and thought provoking.

Wins, draws, losses. If it stays a draw with the Reading game, we, Brighton and Reading share that particular makeup of how to get to 64 points.

Sorry if I'm late to this particular party, but only just learned they have a HoF. It's much larger than ours, so I expected some Big Names on there.

Turns out they've bolstered the numbers by having Delia and Mr Delia (etc board members) Participate.

Brighton, COYB

We're safe, we probably won't make the playoffs but it looks likely it'll be a nice day in the sunshine on the coast with a big following.

Let's get behind the boys and enjoy the day out. Leave the nonsensical banners and abuse at home and just get show Brighton what a proper away support can do.

Also, stand. They can't throw 1700 fans out ;)

Cyclistas! Commuter bike question
at 20:13 14 Mar 2014

Hello,

I'm after a 'station' hack bike that I can do the five minute dash to the station. It's flat, so I'm going to go for a fixie / single speed, but am interested in the ideas of bullhorn handlebars. Anyone got experience? I'm quite long bodied so I think it'd work for me over risers...

First alcohol in five years

Tonight. I've had four VERY small beers (I'm on an all inclusive dive hotel). I don't remember the ground having a current before but I'm struggling to walk straight.

Should I cancel the submarine trip tomorrow morning?

On holiday, ITFC
at 16:11 12 Mar 2014

(Gran Canaria)

Taxi driver asks me if I like football, and between my bad Spanish and his slightly better English we have a conversation about it. He asks me who I support, I say Towun, and he shows me (terrifyingly whilst driving) a picture on his phone of him in a mid 90s era ITFC shirt.

Thinking now he may have pictures of him in all European club shirts for tip purposes ;)

Crazy how long though our European history lives on. Neither of us are old enough to remember '81.
