Biden 11:17 - Jun 28 with 4573 viewsmutters

Not sure if it has been mentioned but I just watched a quick overview of the debate between Biden and Trump last night.

Tough watch. Biden I am afraid looks gone, I am sure he is still fairly cognitive when he is in familiar places, and not under the glaring lights of camera and studio, however, it does feel that the Democrats are going to have make a hard decision and find another candidate if they want any chance of winning.

Trump, even with all his warts and all, will walk this election as Biden just doesn't seem able to put up a defence. If i was an American, i am not sure i would want Biden running my country for the next 4 years even if the alternative is Trump

Looking at events after the debate, it looks like Jill Biden has plenty of oomph. Maybe she should step up to the plate.

If true, this is an interesting snippet from Axios, a left-leaning US media outlet.

"Biden's miscues and limitations are more familiar inside the White House.

The time of day is important as to which of the two Bidens will appear.

From 10am to 4pm, Biden is dependably engaged — and many of his public events in front of cameras are held within those hours.

Outside of that time range or while traveling abroad, Biden is more likely to have verbal miscues and become fatigued, aides told Axios."

At the same time there are reports that Trump is now dialling down the rhetoric about Biden's age/cognitive ability because he wants him to remain on the ballot paper.

"Donald Trump didn’t shy away from laying into Joe Biden after their debate on Thursday but stopped short of joining in the chorus for him to step down.

Mr Trump said Mr Biden was the toughest competitor he would get and that his criticisms of him were not related to his age.

“He studied so hard that he didn’t know what the hell he was doing,” Trump, 78, said of his 81-year-old rival, adding: “It’s not his age, it’s his competence.”
