I would definitely take him on a free. Another one who is a good age and were it not for injury last season Cov might've been right up there. They started awfully and I don't think it was much coincidence that their upturn coincided with getting him back.

Agree regarding his injury impacting Coventry last year, he was such an important player for them.
He looked electric against Leicester on TV when he got a brace.
Cov fans seem to think he may be Leeds bound, but we could probably push them away this window if we want him.

You think O'Hare is better than Chaplin or Broadhead? |
I think there's perhaps an argument he is, but he doesn't necessarily need to be demonstrably better. He offers something different to Chaplin certainly, but if we landed on a group of 6 being Philogene, Chaplin, Broadhead, Hutchinson, Burns, O'Hare that feels quite naughty to me that gives good depth and balance between the athleticism and pace and creative guile. He's likened to a poor mans Grealish which is probably a bit lazy given the Villa roots and hair cut, but he does give that ability to look after the ball in tight areas, win set pieces, very skillful. Chaplin has his strengths but I'm not sure he's in O'hare's league with that side of his game.
A certain upgrade on Harness who could then join Jackson in moving on. Of course its all relative to value, but given he's now without a club I think could be a prudent pick up. [Post edited 3 Jul 2024 14:38]
