Did we over spend on our recruits in early july? I'm not suggesting they arn't good players as i'm sure they'll all show their worth throughout the season

But could we have got a little bit excited earlier in the summer like a child in a sweet shop wanting all he could and their parent didn't want to say no. Knockon effect is that further along the line their pocket money has run out meaning they then don't have the loose change available to add further sweets to their pick n mix so they have to make do with what they have despite knowing they need more

Think it's maybe more likely that we got the deals over the line that we could early and some of those remaining are just going to be more difficult to do. Wouldn't surprise me if we break our transfer record again before the end of the month.

That argument only works if you assume we forgot we needed these other players really We must have made assumptions for each position and would clearly have signed Szmodics if Blackburn weren’t being knobs about it.
