Anyone watching the 2nd season of Mission to Burnley? 15:10 - Aug 20 with 1260 views | ElderGrizzly | We surely aren't this much of a car crash and ego factory behind the scenes are we? It's fascinating, not as much as a sh!tshow as the Sunderland programme, but interesting none the less how owners interfere (no-one wants a drum) and how badly run they appear to be.
And more importantly.... on 15:14 - Aug 20 with 1229 views | Bloots | ....what a hopeless cliche ridden manager Kompany was!! He offered absolutely nothing other than expletive laden pre match "gee ups" and a few hackneyed old phrases after each match. Club owners really need to stop believing that every person that Pep has touched is a genius. Bemusing.

Agree, i'm only on episode 3 but I really can't see what the fuss is all about with Kompany. Great player but appears to be a mediocre coach with zero flexibility. I'm guessing Maresca is going to end the same way, but without the fluky exit to Bayern. I'd love to see a programme over a similar time period on McKenna here, as I'm sure we would see a sensible, measured and truly talented coach. Not a walking ego... [Post edited 20 Aug 2024 16:08]

That would also undermine the oft-cited "similarities" between McKenna/Ipswich and Kompany/Burnley used by pundits to doom us to relegation. Can't imagine a managerial experience more different.
