With Brentford seemingly 'closing in' on Sepp van den Berg from Liverpool, it leaves us in a stronger position in our pursuit of Dara O'Shea from Burnley.
I had gotten the impression that he was our primary CB target.
He was initially preferring Brentford over us as he has previously been with West Brom & Burnley in the PL, going straight down both times, so was hoping to choose an established club over another newly promoted side to give himself better odds of staying up & avoiding an unwanted hat trick of relegations.
Since our original enquiry for him though, we have made some very strong moves in the transfer market, so he & his team might be re-evaluating our prospects for the season now. Perhaps? |  | | |
