Just so blurgh right now 10:51 - Aug 27 with 3583 views | Reus30 | Legitimately had enough of work bs. My house is falling to bits - due to the torrential rain in August my roof and gutters have fallen apart. My dog is ignoring me because I've put her on a diet so she can't have any sausages anymore. Have tempted just to sell up and live on a boat somewhere nice. Any thoughts on what I can do at this point to have a tiny bit of joy in life. Yes, I have already tried a Tommy tank. It's a bit rubbish though when you are feeling teary.

Feared the worst but turned out to be water backing up in gutter and soaking through roof felt due to a blocked downpipe. A fairly simple fix after a bit of worry. If you have home emergency cover that might cover roof leaks someone coming out to have a look and diagnose the problem - they might only 'make safe' but at least you might have an idea what you're dealing with.
Just so blurgh right now on 22:19 - Aug 27 with 344 views | Reus30 | Appreciate the sound advice guys, very helpful but also certainly has eased some angst x. Hopefully externals sorted properly by tomorrow (before the next bout of weather) which is a relief and I will have my FIL keeping them in check I'm sure but at least we are watertoight for now. I can't complain too much, my evening was spent with a sausage supper, some raspberry ripple ice cream and a crossword. Like what was said, it's perspective. Each day is just a list of things to do, remain calm and then just try and enjoy the small things. Its very difficult when you are a miserable old buttmunch though and you just want to launch something into orbit when life literally rains down on you but it will be fine. My dog also made up with me after she got the ice cream lid but that also several effed her diet..

Just so blurgh right now on 14:09 - Aug 27 by WeWereZombies | Please do not come to the Highlands and Islands if you are in a large motor home, we are destructively inundated with the road blocking and congestion nightmare at the moment (old school VW campervans are fine, practical and manoeuverable.) That being said I was chatting to a woman who had a permanent site in Torrison a couple of months ago and she seemed very pleasant. |
My old man did the 500 this "summer". Said exactly the same, the amount of motorhomes was just ridiculous but he said it was well worth doing. Considering it's on my doorstep, I want to box it off. He did it in like a rented fiat 500. Dunno how he fit in it mind, he's like 6'3 and 25 stone..
