It's interesting, now that the boot is on the other foot, to see how far down through the Premier League 'news' and transfer fluff you need to scroll to get to actual football.
There was a Championship match last night, yet it's barely mentioned on BBC Sport.
It's not even on the Championship page:
https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/championship

If it had been us a year ago, I'd have been annoyed that our match hadn't got much attention.
Now that we are in the higher echelons, I can see how it happens, and how people become focussed on the top teams.

It's a shame though, and I think the media hold the key to this.
They can easily 'promote' interest simply through the placement of their news stories.

PS It was Luton 1-2 QPR

You're seeing what the media want you to see.

They're manipulating your brain...........

Hang on. I think you’re onto something. Are you saying that media focus on the bigger clubs and leagues and therefore influence what makes the news headlines.

Thanks for that.

I think I mean more that the focus should perhaps be on the actual football being played, not the hype-driven bollox that is the transfer market. It's symptomatic of this materialistic, commercial world we have created, where it's all about wanting something better, shinier, newer, but in fact, what you had was probably good enough.

I'm not saying don't sign players, but it should be secondary to the actual playing of matches.
Otherwise, you are missing out on your Ithaca journey.

Anyway, it's all waffle.
I'll go back to waiting 17 hours in an online queue in order to pay £150 to see a band in a stadium where I need to pay £10 for a bottle of Coke.
