Unless you count Omari as a midfielder all the players are either at or close to their ceiling or on loan (Cajuste). Kalvin, Sam, Luongo and if you count Szmods and Chapers are all good players but all are 27 plus. Taylor is decent but I doubt he will make the grade as a nailed on Prem starter. In all other areas we have high potential players who "should" only get better. It is a concern in the long term. [Post edited 4 Oct 2024 6:55]

My goodness you must lead a sad life. We are back in the prem, undefeated in 4 games, competitive all over the pitch and all you can find to post is moaning about our midfield , which by the way has been outstanding this year. My goodness you must lead a sad life. We are back in the prem, undefeated in 4 games, competitive all over the pitch and all you can find to post is moaning about our midfield , which by the way has been outstanding this year. I am not moaning about our midfield,Sam Morsy is fantastic but he is now in his mid 30s and Kalvin is a great player but he is on loan. I am pointing out a fact. As for going to support Norwich, that is the biggest insult you can give an Ipswich fan. I can name the FA Cup and UEFA Cup teams off the top of my head despite being aged 4 and 8 when they were played. As a boy I cried when Ipswich were relegated wondering what was worse, going down or the Terry Butcher leaving who was I believe the last of the great team of the 70s/80s to do so. Well stop sprouting negative crap when it’s not needed. We have a great midfield and a top manager who knows an awful lot more about building a midfield, team and squad than you ever will. So post some positive stuff rather than guff about our midfield. | | | |
