Muric should have first timed it into the stands. The attempted trap was just a lovely pass to the goalscorer. He wasn't given a very symphatetic back pass especially when it wasn't necessary. As the game went on in the second half it looked like Leeds last year, every time they had the ball the looked like scoring ( even when they didn't! ).

I thought he was West Ham’s best player today - clearly thinks he is still a Hammer.
Mick Mills suggests he knew he wasn't as good as the player he was up against and has trained with week-in week-out for some time and didn't have the confidence to perform.
At any rate, players have a poor game sometimes. I am sure he will have better ones for us at some point.
