One rule, has to be a player you’ve seen in your lifetime. I’ll go first…..John Wark ⚽️ my god, top half even with him driving us on [Post edited 25 Oct 2024 21:54]

If you could choose one Towen player from the past to come into on 08:18 - Oct 26 by Olcol | The Great Kevin Bestie. The best all-round defender I have ever seen. He had an explosive power and speed that got us out of trouble many times. His power in the air was magical, scored some superb goals and made defenders look like plastic soldiers. |
He could play any position on the pitch, he really was that good.

Better than Brazilian Ronaldo who he reckoned was the second best.

If you could choose one Towen player from the past to come into on 22:24 - Oct 25 by Keno | He was some player!!! I feel very privileged that I got to watch him play |
The Beat. End of. Like a road block in defence. He could out jump (remember the time he went up for a corner and jumped so high he headed down onto the bar). He could tackle. He could shoot. (remember the goal he scored from near the halfway line.) He could dribble ! (he would suddenly spot a gap in the midfield and set himself at it with the crowd behind him getting noisier as he went. He would run flat out for 30-50 yards and finally when it came to an end with the pass or whatever we would sing out a deflated "oohhh") All that and he was built like a brick outhouse and was by some margin the fastest bloke on the pitch. Not to mention his bravery. He broke his arm against Man City in the FA Cup Semi at Villa Park and because our only sub had already been used he came back on with his arm in a sling. Played at No 10 position with Trevor Whymark dropping back to No 6 (he had a surprisingly good game there) They dont make them like the Beat anymore.
