I thought Alan Shearer's assesment and comments on Towns peformance was a bit harsh on Saturdays nights match of the day.

Rude and dismissive I would say.

Didn't Alan Shearer once say:

we have to sort out the defending, we now need a win and a draw from every three games, regardless of the opponent. Too gutted about Saturday to care what he says. Hard to argue with him - we've got the worst GK in the league, even though he does make some great saves, the basics aren't there.

Harsh but true

Us town fans can enjoy the crumbs of a good performance and hope its a sign of an up turn. But as a pundit he's at least being factual that to stay up we have to improve on those stats that were showed.
