As recently as late 2020 under Paul Lambert. 12:03 - Nov 10 with 811 viewsTheBoyBlue

I truly believed I'd never see Ipswich Town in the Premier League ever again. It wasn't going to happen under Evans, not from the depths we had dropped to and in all honestly I was questioning if we might ever even get back into the Championship. Without someone coming in and buying us nothing was ever going to get better and I couldn't imagine who the heck would even consider buying us! And even then, who was to say we wouldn't get a wrong 'un making things even worse as has been seen elsewhere?

Yet just four years later, we could climb out of the relegation in the Premier League with a win at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, as unlikely as that may be. Really wish I could be there and it'll be agony listening to it on the radio I'm sure, but I am absolutely loving the fact that we're there at all.

Try and enjoy this afternoon, whatever happens (even dodgy refereeing decisions!), especially if you're lucky enough to be there at what sounds like an incredible stadium.

COYBs!

Lower half at very, very best under Evans is all I could see. These American Guys and Dolls have really put the heart back into the club. Lucky enough to be sat in a coffee shop just down the road today, so will be popping in shortly. Fabulous ground and a good atmosphere when I was last there (Spurs v Man Utd) a couple of seasons ago. I am enjoying every single moment of the games this season, regardless of results. I am lucky (old enough) to have seen it all before, but all these new stadiums are fantastic. I echo what you are saying, just enjoy it all folks. Soak it up.

Poll: New hobby suggestions for NeedhamChris.

Agree entirely.

As for Spurs’ stadium I’ve been there to watch NFL. It’s amazing. I hope those going enjoy it.

Lucky you, that's brilliant! Never been, but would love to, especially for a Town game.

Cheer loudly for us!
