Talking about foxes, I saw one trot past my patio doors a couple of weeks ago with a pigeon in its mouth.
I must admit I had always thought they went for smaller prey such as mice and rats.

I think they are usually herbivores but pigeons are rather stupid so it doesn't surprise me overly much that it went for a fox. Won't make that mistake again!
Foxes take chickens (and kill the whole coop too) and they are a fair bit bigger than pigeons.
