I briefly mentioned it yesterday but I do think we are better when we start Hutch on the right wing. I know he wants to play 10 but think, atm, he's better suited on wing with Szmodics and Chaplin taking turns in the 10.this would keep some energy and strength in depth in this position.
Although I do think it then causes us issues on the left... As J Clarke just hasn't stepped up (yet). Perhaps it's time to try Broadhead starting there ot or Townsend as both would protect Leif and enable him to get forward more.
I also believe that at some point KM will stumble across the right partnerships as I don't think he's sure yet of best players for this level.
Like many I'd like to see Jens and KP in midfield and, perhaps when Morsy gets suspended, it will be the time we realise that is our best CM pairing.
We may not be good enough to stay in the league but I think we have to manage games better and, for once, I believe Kieran was slow making changes yesterday which eventually cost us. |  |

I think their are games this season when Morsy has pushed forward late on and ended up losing possession when he would have been better controlling possession and sitting in front of defence.
I'm not saying he's a bad player and has stepped up better than I expected but just think KP and Jens have more experience at the top level and would know to sit and hold possession to see games out rather than pushing forward. I also believe KP and Jens are better at retaining the ball than Morsy.
